Katherine Heigl has revealed that she was brought up in a bubble of white and how this realization affected the way she cared for her adoptive, multiracial kids. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said in the past that in terms of the color of her skin the issue isn't that important. After speaking with her sister, who was adopted in South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats them. "I I asked my sister Meg to tell me if she'd been treated one way when she went walking around with our parents, and another way when she was out alone without them. Meg replied, "Oh, yeah, all the times! Heigl told parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I caused me to feel." The actress said that she was upset, but she felt that she had to channel her anger in order to assist her adopted daughters. Heigl has a four year old son and a 13-year-old wife, Josh Kelley. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide eight and Black from South Korea in 2012.
