One child was strapped onto my back, while one crawled inside the playpen. I stayed up all night days, for months, sanding and taking wallpaper off, all with one child. Ha! The balance was between the start of a company and being a mother. Growing Days just fit. In 2013, my daughter Nora became our fourth child. Although I was happy with the direction my business went, I was feeling like I had to take an occasional break. I decided to quit working on my antique furniture and be at home with the children. It was just what I needed. But after a couple of months without a phone, it began to ring. Numerous people reached me seeking advice on home improvement and decorating. They had mainly been to my home during open houses for furniture. I began taking on clients one at a time taking my time but it didn't take time before I was running numerous accounts and had a complete home renovation business. When you first told me about my home renovation business I laughed. It's hilarious to look back on it.
