Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to achieve a score of 10 in competing in the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who later became her coach later on, discovered her at age six. Comaneci was the first to compete for time at the national junior championships and finished 13th. In the following year, she became champion. Three gold medals were awarded in her first competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 for communist bloc countries. Between 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all-round competitions. In 1975, she took home four golds and one silver at her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. In 1976, she was the first female athlete in the world who used a double backwards salto in order to take off the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her path into the entertainment industry began during her teens when she began performing as a figure skater alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer when she was in her teenage years. She started her career performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment programs Ice Capades.
